NSW Implementation

LPI is undertaking a program of work to develop the systems, business process and legislative changes required to enable and regulate National Electronic Conveyancing transactions in NSW.

The NSW National Electronic Conveyancing Implementation Support (NIS) Program includes five project streams:

Legislation

To develop and implement the legislation and regulation changes needed to support the use of National Electronic Conveyancing in NSW.  

Electronic Examination & Automated Registration

To develop and implement the necessary enhancements to systems, business processing, Torrens Register enhancement, IT Infrastructure performance requirements and information structure and business rules necessary for electronic conveyancing.

Practices

To define, implement and support the necessary registry and industry requirements, business processes, risk management strategies and application of regulatory frameworks required to facilitate National Electronic Conveyancing in NSW.

Communications

Communications and change management to keep NSW industry participants, government agencies and staff informed of developments and provide for prompt take-up of National Electronic Conveyancing in NSW.

Business Impacts & Commercial Arrangements

To identify business requirements for changes to products, services, industry training and associated contract arrangements and plan for implementation of new arrangements on implementation of National Electronic Conveyancing.
